Requested account permissions

Some permissions to your account are required for our products to operate. The permissions granted are used exclusively for the product to execute its core functions and are limited to the services offered. Below are the specific permission requirements for each application, why they are necessary and how they are used.

View and administer your Firebase Realtime Databases and their contents
• to store and update your licence data and usage statistics in the product’s database hosted on Google’s Firebase, https://firebase.google.com/.
Connect to an external service
• to create a network connection to an external service, such as Beagle.dev’s admin panel or messaging services such as Slack.com to notify the Beagle.dev’s team about new application installs, usage statistics and errors -  to enhance the application’s user experience and to facilitate customer support.

Information collection and use

We collect several different types of information for various purposes to provide and improve our Service to you. The Service does not transfer or share the data with third parties without your previous express consent.

Personal data

While using our Service, we may ask you to provide us with certain personally identifiable information that can be used to contact or identify you (“Personal Data”). Personally identifiable information may include, but is not limited to:

  • Application usage data.

Legal basis for processing personal data under General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR)

If you are from the European Economic Area (EEA), the legal basis for collecting and using the personal information described in this Privacy Policy depends on the Personal Data we collect and the specific context in which we collect it.

We may process your Personal Data because: we need to perform a contract with you; you have given us permission to do so; the processing is in our legitimate interests and it’s not overridden by your rights; for payment processing purposes; to comply with the law.

Retention of data

We will retain your Personal Data only for as long as is necessary for the purposes set out in this Privacy Policy and for the duration as applicable by law. We will retain and use your Personal Data to the extent necessary to comply with our legal obligations (for example, if we are required to retain your data to comply with applicable laws), resolve disputes, and enforce our legal agreements and policies.

Business transaction

If Beagle.dev is involved in an acquisition or asset sale, your Personal Data may be transferred. We will provide notice before your Personal Data is transferred and becomes subject to a different Privacy Policy.

Security of data

The security of your data is important to us and only store basic user data, your search parameters and search statistics in a single Google Firebase Real-time Database. The rest of the data never leaves your Google Sheets document, and therefore inherits the entire security structure from Google Drive to ensure that it remains in your chosen environment. All interactions between your Google Spreadsheet and our Service occur over a secure HTTPS connection.

Your data protection rights under General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR)

If you are a resident of the European Economic Area (EEA), you have certain data protection rights. We aim to take reasonable steps to allow you to correct, amend, delete, or limit the use of your Personal Data. If you wish to be informed what Personal Data we hold about you and if you want it to be removed from our systems, please contact us at [email protected].

In certain circumstances, you have the following data protection rights:

The right to access, update or delete the information we have on you: whenever made possible, you can access, update or request deletion of your Personal Data.

Service providers

Gumroad

Gumroad.com, operated by Gumroad Inc., is an online marketplace for creators helping them to distribute, sell and deliver their products. Beagle.dev uses Gumroad to host its app storefront where users can discover and purchase Beagle.dev’s applications.

Google Analytics

Google Analytics is a web analytics service offered by Google that tracks and reports website traffic. Google uses the data collected to track and monitor the use of our Service. This data is shared with other Google services. Google may use the collected data to contextualize and personalize the ads of its own advertising network.

You can opt-out of having made your activity on the Service available to Google Analytics by installing the Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on. The add-on prevents the Google Analytics JavaScript from sharing information with Google Analytics about visits activity.

Google Ads

Google Ads service is provided by Google Inc. Typeform

Typeform.com, operated by Typeform SL, is an online service for creation of web forms. Beagle.dev uses Typeform for collecting user’s feedback and support requests. The form is embedded in a modal dialog window accessible via the application’s menu and sidebar in Google Sheets interface as well as via external links on Beagle.dev’s website and Gumroad storefront page. PayPal, Paddle

We may provide paid products and/or services within the Service. In that case, we use third-party services for payment processing (e.g. payment processors). We do not store or collect your payment card details. That information is provided directly to our third-party payment processors whose use of your personal information is governed by their Privacy Policy. Our Service may contain links to other sites that are not operated by us. If you click on a third party link, you will be directed to that third party’s site. Children’s Privacy

Our Service does not address anyone under the age of 18 (“Children”). We do not knowingly collect personally identifiable information from anyone under the age of 18.
